1. Why is Bug Out Service the best choice?
Bug Out Service is a family owned local Company that has been in business since 1963. We have several neighborhood offices and we offer environmentally conscious, prompt service. We are also fully Licensed and insured and have a full time training staff with experienced long term employees. We pride ourselves on using innovative techniques and procedures and we’re always working on the cutting edge of the industry. We also have online access and our own onsite Customer Care Department.

Billing and Service

1. Why am I paying monthly for service when I am serviced quarterly for pest control or termite service and every other month for lawn service?
Bug Out strives to provide the most convenient forms of billing. We take the tri-annual pest control service charge and break it down into monthly billing for your convenience. We take our every other month lawn service and also break it down into monthly billing for your convenience.

2. Do you offer discounts for paying in advance?
Bug Out Service offers great discounts for paying a year in advance. We also offer discounts for customers that place a credit card on file.

Pest Control

1. How do your products affect the environment?
Bug Out Service prides itself on using Integrated Pest Management (IPM). IPM is an effective and environmentally sensitive approach to pest management that relies on a combination of common-sense practices. IPM programs use current, comprehensive information on the life cycles of pests and their interaction with the environment. This information, in combination with available pest control methods, is used to manage pest damage by the most economical means, and with the least possible hazard to people, property, and the environment.

2. Why can’t I just do it myself?
Many products can be purchased by the consumer yet the correct application, which is necessary for the product to provide the pest suppression desired must be followed and the pest professional has the training to do this more effectively. Proper identification of the pest is necessary to determine the proper treatment.   Products applied are labeled as required by law to be applied in the manner consistent with the label.

3. Are your services friendly for a child or baby or pets?

4. Will my neighbor’s pests affect my property?
An inspection would be necessary to determine the pest pressure at your property.

5. Why should I care if the property or home is treated four times a year?
The application has residual properties that are not as effective after three months. A quarterly inspection of the home is also a preventative measure to suppress pest invasion of your home.

6. Why don’t you come inside each service for pest control?
The total approach to pest suppression focuses on where most of the pests are coming from. That is their natural habitat, the outside.

7. Will your service totally eliminate pests?
There are pests that are treated with the intent of elimination. Some we can eliminate, some we can not.

8. What is the cost of a retreatment?
Retreats are absolutely free.

1. Why can you not give a price for lawn or ornamental shrub service over the phone?
For an accurate quote it necessary to inspect and measure the lawn and/or ornamental shrubs. The rate is based on the square footage of the lawn or shrubs.

2. Are fire ants included in the lawn service?
Ants can be included with our lawn service. Feel free to contact us for a free inspection.

3. What are you applying to my lawn?
Bug Out Service spoon feeds the lawn with the nutrients that it needs throughout the year.

4. How long does it take to see results for weed suppression?
Bug Out Service offers “Broadleaf Weed Management” - Applications to minimize existing weeds and to suppress new weeds for popping up. Disease Suppression through cultural recommendations, nutritional additives and fungicides. Weed suppression can take from 2 to 4 weeks before you see the full benefit of the application. Variables such as temperature and rainfall can affect results.

5. What pests are covered with the lawn service?
Bug Out Service offers “Pest Protection” against pests such as Chinch Bugs, Mole Crickets, Armyworms and Sod Webworms that can cause damage to your lawn.

6. If I have lawn service why do I have moles?
Moles main diet is earthworms therefore they are not feeding on insects in your lawn.

7. What do you recommend if I have pets?
We ask that you keep people and pets off any spray applications until they have thoroughly dried. Watering the application the following day will also help move any products from the foliage into the soil. Please call our office if any further information is needed.

1. Why can you not give a price over the phone for Termite Service?
Due to there being several different types of construction, we need to inspect your home before we can determine what treatment will best protect your home.

2. Why are you coming out four times a year when my neighbor only has an inspection once per year?
Our service is pro-active. We monitor your home four times a year for termite activity for conditions that may lead to an infestation. A lot can happen between once a year inspections, we want to prevent problems from happening to better protect your home.
